One day, Kotoko Aihara's house is severely damaged by an earthquake. Until the house is rebuilt, Kotoko Aihara and her father decide to live with her father's friend. [bookmarked manga] True Love by Sugiyama Miwako

cute~cute~cute~so cute~ (*≧▽≦)
  • Status: ongoing (since 2013)
  • Summary:
Ai just loves her big brother, Yuzuru! He's so kind, so reliable and so cool! He always protects Ai from trouble and when she cries, he cheers her up! He's the perfect big brother. But, bad things happen soon. Her parents divorce and she and her brother are separated! Now, after 9 years, one day, Ai, now 14 years old, finds a tall boy in front of her school! Who is this boy-?

[x]

OK, this manga seems to involve incest (which sometimes make me frown upon when it goes "overboard", I mean something further than skinship or whatever ^^") but I just can't resist the interactions between the 2 siblings, they're so cute~~~~~(ღ˘⌣˘ღ) Anyway, I really don't  think there'll be any incest in the future (¯﹃¯) The tittle's "True Love", right?  (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) In shoujo manga, true love does not mean the lovers must have sexual intercourse (though they, mainly the perverted female main characters seem rather obsessed with this issue~Tamiya Nika in "Switch Girl" shows herself as a classic example, she even tries to rape seduce Arata mutiple times over the series, ohohoh~(ಥ⌣ಥ))

By the way, wish that Yuzuru and Ai are not related by blood so that they can finally have a happy ending with cute little babies running around the living room (◕ ▽ ◕)

The manga's still going on with chapter 9, love rivals pop up and more angst in the way~

(✿⊙‿⊙)Visit MH for reading this manga (chapter 6's finally translated now~)(✿⊙‿⊙)

SO CUTE~~~~

Yuzuru (7) & Ai (6)

[bookmarked manga] Edo Karuta - AME Arare

Tama & Shirou in Edo Karuta #3 "Maigoishi"

Name: Edo Karuta - 江戸カルタ (Edo Card Game)
Author: AME Arare
Status: Ongoing

Summary:

A collection of historic short stories, each associated with a karuta card. The stories revolve around the red-light district of Yoshiwara, in Edo.

1) Kimori
Okuma is a good-natured, sweet girl, but she is unable to find a husband due to her weight. One day, a samurai defends her from being publicly mocked. Is this samurai her chance to find happiness?

2) Kanrobai
After her father ritually commits suicide, Asagi finds herself in much reduced circumstances. Some of the girls who work with Asagi bully her, and the high-class airs she puts on don't help the situation. All she wants is a way to get back to the lifestyle to which she was accustomed, but all she has is mistreatment and the company of a strange man trapped under a barrel...

3) Maigoishi
Tama is a lost child, and she's taken in temporarily by a family who already has a son, Shirou. Tama can't wait to find her beloved father again. However, finding the place where she belongs may not be so simple for little Tama.

4) Akaishinyo
Seiichi is the only one left to protect his princess, Miya. He wants what's best for her, regardless of their feelings for one another. But can he really tell what that might be?

My review

Different from Kagerou Inazuma Mizu no Tsuki or Hira Hira with tragic stories mainly about the oiran in Yoshiwara - the famous red light disctrict in Edo era, Edo Karute tells sweet short stories around young girls of all ages and social status through some symbolic figures in Japanese card game (Karute)...

By reading this manga, I know a lot more about some Japanese traditional symbols, haha =D If this manga's available in my country, I'll definiely snatch it as a new arrival in my reference bookshelf for drawing
