♥ Plot

At a high school entrance ceremony, high school student Kotoko Aihara (Honoka Miki), who isn't that smart, notices pretty boy Naoki Irie (Yuki Furukawa). She falls in love with him immediately. Kotoko initially doesn't express her feelings to him, but finally has a chance to tell him how she feels. Unfortunately, Naoki turns Kotoko down, saying "I don't like dumb women." One day, Kotoko Aihara's house is severely damaged by an earthquake. Until the house is rebuilt, Kotoko Aihara and her father decide to live with her father's friend. When Kotoko Aihara moves to her new temporary house, she is surprised to learn that Naoki Irie lives there as well.

Love this ending~

♥ My (very brief) thoughts

I used to enjoy the manga very much (despite the fact that I'm not so into shoujo manga, especially a typical one as Itazura na Kiss =))), so it's really a disappoinment as well as shock to hear that this series was postponed permanently due to the sudden fatal accident of Tada-sensei (;____;). But I'm not such a loyal follower so after a while I forgot my grief for this series and soon moved on in my manga-anime journey *shame on me*

About 3-4 years ago, I got curious whether this manga had a ending or not and ended up watching the anime. Actually I only watched the 3 last episodes though *shame on me again* Well, basically I really enjoyed the anime as much as the manga~

As for the live-action, I never had a chance to watch the very first Japanese LA but I've watched both the Taiwanese and Korean LA of Itazura na Kiss. The Taiwanese version left a such deep impression on me that when the announcement for a Korean version was out, I kinda had no intention of following this drama. However, I still ended up watching it (damn my elder sister!) and regret soon =/ I REALLY shouldn't waste my time on this drama as I thought before~

Now time's for the latest LA from Japan~To be brief, this version exceeded my expectations =))) I really love Furukawa's portray as Naoki (he's so cool~ >///<) and Miki's version of Kotoko, maybe this is the closest to the original Kotoko: she's not dumb as in other LA but only lazy and gets distracted easily. If Kotoko tries her best, she can achieve her goals with a smile always on her lips. 

Well, I only watched one episode so I'm afraid any judgment seems rather objective now. But I have only 2 words for you guys who still considered watching this jdrama: Highly recommneded! d(^O^)b

Can't wait for the next episode to be aired~
